Submitted by John on March 12, 2010 – 8:51 pmNo Comment

If you are in New York City and want to learn how to easily fix some of the most common bicycle breakdown problems, then you have come to the right place.  Bike New York and Recycle-A-Bicycle are teaming up to put on a little workshop to help you maintain your ride.  These half-day classes coming will help make your bike ride more easily and smoothly.  In the end, it will save you time, money and make your ride much easier...here are some of the topics they will be going over:

  • Fixing a flat tire
  • Brake and derailleur adjustments
  • Chain cleaning and lubing
  • Numerous adjustments that can be done with a multi-tool, including seat and handlebars

Participants will also receive a multi-tool, patch kit, and tire levers.  If you are just starting out, i'd recommend checking this out.  Click here for the dates and times of upcoming classes.
