Ok, this might be a no brainer to most of you...but somewhere out there, there are young fixed gear minds that are uneducated and a bit naive when it comes to parts and terminology of the bike. Well, the frame of the bike is probably what most of you think it is when just looking at the word "frame." It is the main part of the bike, it is what holds everything together and connects everything. When looking at fixed gear bikes, the most common type of frame you will see is a diamond frame...and this means that it is made up of various triangles...much like a diamond...check out the picture over there and you can see the triangles within the frame. There are other types of frames out there, but 9 times out of 10, this is what you are going to see on the streets. Frames are very important and can be customized in many ways to suite the type of riding and style you prefer. You should take into consideration your needs and wants when looking into a new frame. eBay always has some really good deals on frames, check out a few auctions I found on eBay below.
