Check out this new generation of bicycle baskets, the Bent Basket straight out of San Francisco designed by Faris Elmasu. These things are constructed from plywood, nylon and aluminum and sits over the front wheel. The Bent Basket looks super modern…real nice design…pretty damn hip too. It kind of reminds me of that Billykirk Bike Pouch…that could very well be the hippest thing i have ever seen. Anyways, this thing has a similar, sophisticated look to it. This thing has an open design with stretchy looking nylon straps to strap things down. It doesn’t really look very useful for smaller things, or really holding it in that well. Apparently the maximum load is listed as a 12 pack of beer and is designed for a 700c.
