Check out these new EighthInch Headtube Extenders which is part of EighthInch’s new line of freestyle parts they have just put out. These are pretty much extenders which will add 20mm to your headtube which will allow for wheel/tire clearance for barspins and junk. According to the EighthInch website, these things will make the most un-bar-spin-able bike able to bar-spin…that’s pretty cool. The EighthInch Headtube Extenders are available in black or silver, 1″ or 11/8″ and for threadless headsets/forks only. Installation of the extenders requires such tools as a headset press, headset cup removal tools, etc…so you might have to go to a qualified bike shop to have this thing put on. The extenders also change the geometry of the bike, so that could cause a different feel and handle of the bike.
