Toe clips? Who cares about toe clips? Well, they come in handy to me, especially if I am riding a fixed gear. They just make the ride a lot more enjoyable and easier for me. Riding in toe clips allows you to lift up on the pedal when it is coming up, and this will give you a little more power in the ride and make the work more efficient. Also, if you are riding a fixed gear, having the clips there makes it a little easier to get the hang of skid stopping...it just makes sure your feet are going to stay on the pedals and not slip off...which could be a very disasterous thing for you. You definitely do not want to lose your footing on your pedals going down a steep hill...you are in for a bad ending for sure.
