Make Your Own Bike Lane, The Light Lane

Submitted by John on June 24, 2009 – 4:55 pmOne Comment

So I was surfing around on the internet today and I came across this website, Light Lane.  This is a pretty interesting concept...pretty much, it allows you to make where ever you are riding into a bike lane.  It is definitely a step in the right direction for bicycle safety...because there are definitely not enough areas with bike lanes...this way, people know where you are and can keep a better eye out for you.  The design of the Light Lane is actually pretty cool...it just looks like a rear reflector...and here is probably the best part of this, it has a rechargeable battery so you don't have to blow your money on expensive little batteries...tight.  Bike Lanes should be more available for bikers all over the world, but because of how things are, sometimes you just have to adapt, and the dudes at Light Lane are  proposing some very helpful alternatives that I think will become very successful.  Check out this video below to see the Light Lane in action!
