You Need Fixed Gear Bike Tools!

Submitted by John on June 19, 2009 – 7:04 pmOne Comment

What are you going to do if you need to make an adjustment or quick fix on your bike?  You gotta do something, YOU NEED FIXED GEAR TOOLS...Safety is way too important to simply look over the simple adjustments and regular maintenance you should be keeping on your bike.  If one thing isn't working properly, that can mean a whole mound of problems for you while riding or somewhere down the line.  It is paramount for you to have a set of good tools, or to know someone with a good set of tools.  If you are looking for what kind of tools you need, then you have come to the right place. To keep your bike in good working order, you must have a set of open/box wrenches, a good set of allen keys/hex wrenches, and also a C-wrench in order to tighten and adjust your lock ring...also a chain breaker can't hurt either.

But what should you carry while you are on the road...you can't very well carry around an entire set of box wrenches with you at all times.  While riding, I would recommend carrying a crescent wrench, chain breaker, extra chain, a patching kit (I can't tell you how many times that has come in handy), an extra tube, and also a little tire pump.  All of these things can easily fit into a backpack and not be too big of a pain in the ass while riding...but I would definitely recommend these Fixed Gear Tools to carry with you at all time.  You can also check out these fixed gear bicycle tools for sale through the following eBay auctions below.  Take care of that beautiful bike!

What a great tool kit! I don’t think there is anything that could happen where you don’t have the right tool with you to fix your bike (I think you could probably build a bike with all these tools).
Good idea, hope it takes off!
