This video pretty much takes the cake when it comes to fixed gear videos…this is like the Fully Flared of the fixed gear bike world (I don’t know how many of you will pick up on that reference…hopefully there are a few skateboarders checkin this out). This is a Mash Transit Production, a film by Michael Martin and Gabe Morford…ding, ding, ding more skateboarding references.
“ Mash is a testament to the efficacy of the frame, wheels, cockpit, and drive-train that carry us through SF’s labyrinth of lanes, alleys, and everything in between. This video recognizes those who have inspired us with their unique presence in the streets, who have created an accelerated style of riding bikes built for the track but tailored for daily abuse. The synthesis of this video sprang from a desire to show the world how these locals take ownership of San Francisco’s dense landscape and display an incredible amount of focus, fluidity, and grace in the process”
The DVD is so sick though…excellent cinematography, filming, music, production and editing. You know how there are skate videos that are just pretty much bro-cammed just to shows the tricks, and then there are videos like Yeah Right, Fully Flared and Ride the Sky that are more like actual films…things are getting crazy with HD cameras, cranes and dollys…these aren’t skate videos and cycling videos anymore, these are skate films and cycling films.
Also, you can see from the pictures, the packaging of this DVD is super good…it’s one of those DVD’s you are just proud to own and have on your bookshelf. The other big perk about having this DVD is that it comes with a 120 page book inside. The book contains 120 pages of really amazing photos and written interviews from the riders in the video. This is just a super tight setup and a big recommendation for anyone who likes bikes. Check out the following Mash SF DVDs for sale through these eBay auctions below:
