Sacramento Premier of Gnarcotix + Revoked

Saw this fixed gear premier and event over on pedal consumption. This is for the Sacramento Premier of Gnarcotix + Revoked at The Golden Bear. Not only will this be a premier but you can also look forward to a trick competition and a trackstand competition. Leading Designers Customize Fixed Gears for Charity

Check out these custom designed fixed gear bikes that were part of a charity event put on by the environmentalist non-profit organization ACT Responsible. The group asked 12 designers to each customize a fixed gear that would later be auctioned off for charity. Some of the designers include François and Marithé Girbaud, Kenzo, and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. The organization ACT Responsible is a non-profit that promotes responsible communication on sustainability, equitable development and social responsibility. PBR Presents: No Brakes, Bike Race, Atlanta

Check out this super sick event going down in Atlanta, GA this month, July 24th...this is NO BRAKES, a 3-Year Anniversary Bike Race put on by Pabst Blue Ribbon, the beer of choice for hipsters and dirty bikers all over the country. Other than the race that will consist of a cookout and prizes, there will also be a pretty sick release of a very special shirt and hat that has been created by WISH and MISHKA, known as the "ATL Get Pitted" line. If you register for the race, it will be $35 but that will also include a shirt or hat...without it will be $10. WISH, MISHKA, and NO BRAKES, an Atlanta based bike shop, have also teamed up to launch a custom fixed gear bike to go along with the shirt and hat. This is gonna be a sick event, try to make it out.

Two Bicycle Races and GNARCOTIX Premiere

Check out this fun filled event down in Honolulu courtesy of Aloha Fixed and Urban Velo on....Today....well shit, looks like the first race is over....wait no it isn't...In Hawaii right notw its like 6:30 am. Well, If you are out in Hawaii, awake and looking at this right now, you might wanna go out to Blasidell Arena for the first race at 11am...the 2nd race is at 8pm at Fresh Cafe. Immediately after the 2nd race, they will be premiering the new Northern California vid, GNARCOTIX. This looks like it is going to be a fun day in Hawaii, wish I was there.

Summer Fix, 3 Day Bike Event in L.A

If you are out on the West Coast, I would recommend checking out the first annual Summer Fix...it is a 3 day bicycle event in Los Angeles that looks to be filled with tons of events, competitions and rides. Bicycle Film Festival 10…What’d You Think?

Well, yesterday marked the end of the 10th annual Bicycle Film Festival in New York City...pretty much it was a celebration of bicycles through film, art and music. It looked like it was super sick based on all of the trailers and stuff leading up to it. Check out the official Bicycle Film Festival 10 Trailer below...that was pretty damn sick. Minnesota Fixed Gear Classic

This weekend marked the beginning of the Minnesota Fixed Gear Classic. This is to be a three-day run at the National Sports Center Velodrome in Blaine, MN. Looks like a fun time, Check out Triple Crankset for a more in depth look at the first day of this event.

The omnium standings after the first date are:

Men

1. Colton Barrett, Texas Roadhouse, 12 points; 2. Emile Abraham, Aerocat, 10 points; 3. Matt Baranoski, Alliance Environmental, 9 points.

Women

1. Cari Higgins, Peanut Butter & Co/TWENTY12, 17 points; 2. Kacey Manderfield, Cycle Loft, 12 points; 3. Colleen Gulick, Team Kenda, 7 points.
