]]> http://www.buyafixie.com/06/message-from-snoop-dogg-to-lance-armstrong/feed/ 0 Bent Basket…New Generation of Bike Baskets http://www.buyafixie.com/06/bent-basket-new-generation-of-bike-baskets/ http://www.buyafixie.com/06/bent-basket-new-generation-of-bike-baskets/#comments Fri, 25 Jun 2010 19:36:02 +0000 John http://www.buyafixie.com/?p=1999 Check out this new generation of bicycle baskets, the Bent Basket straight out of San Francisco designed by Faris Elmasu.  These things are constructed from plywood, nylon and aluminum and sits over the front wheel.  The Bent Basket looks super modern...real nice design...pretty damn hip too.  It kind of reminds me of that Billykirk Bike Pouch...that could very well be the hippest thing i have ever seen.  Anyways, this thing has a similar, sophisticated look to it.  This thing has an open design with stretchy looking nylon straps to strap things down.  It doesn't really look very useful for smaller things, or really holding it in that well.  Apparently the maximum load is listed as a 12 pack of beer and is designed for a 700c.  Each basket is hand-built so prices vary...check out the website for the Bent Basket for more information...check out some more traditional versions of a bicycle basket for sale below the picture through eBay.
