Don’t underestimate the importance of a bell or horn when you are on that bike…with no brakes, you better have some way of letting people know you are coming through.
Having some kind of light on your bike is one of the most important accessories you can have for your bike…I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard of people getting hit by cars at night.
Keep that bike safe! A good, strong lock is another one of the most important accessories you can have. If you don’t keep that baby locked up, someone will snatch it…people are ruthless.
If you are into customizing and building bikes yourself, a good stand is a good investment to make…it makes your bike 10x easier to work on…REAL TALK…look into getting one of these!
I can’t tell you how many times a bike rack for my car has come in handy…maybe i don’t want to ride my bike all the way to Atlanta, but I want to have it while I’m there…strap that puppy to the back of my car and I’m all set.
Bags are amazing…you always gotta be able to carry all your regular junk, not to mention all the emergency parts, tools and stuff that will keep you from having to walk your bike 3 miles just to make it back home…bags are good.
Well these things are neat…with a cycling computer you can calculate your speed, distance, cadence and all sorts of other useful information by doing nothing at all…easy, the way I like it.
Water…I love water…everyone loves water. Tired of reaching down to grab that old bottle and dropping it while riding down the street? Grab yourself a hydration pack and you’ll have a nice cold drink right there on your shoulder all the time.
If you own a bicycle, you gotta have a pump. You do NOT want to be that guy without a pump who is always calling you up asking to come over and use your pump…all you smart people with a pump, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Just like the bicycle pump situation, you don’t want to be the guy without proper bike tools…calling all your friends and asking to borrow tools is not cool. Invest in a good set of tools, or even get a portable tool you can carry around in your bag…never know when you might need it!
Don’t feel like spending the extra cheddar to get a Hydration Pack? Go ahead and do it the old fashioned way with a classic water bottle…but don’ say I didn’t warn you when you drop that thing.
