Helmet Size

Normally, if you are an avid rider, you would probably know what size helmet you wear…but suppose you have never bought a helmet before and you are looking to buy a helmet online…WHAT DO YOU DO? You say to yourself, “Am I a medium or a large?” This could be quite the dilemma…but, fear not, for you are about to read a guide that will show you exactly how to measure your head and coordinate that with the perfect size bike helmet. In order to find our helmet size, you have to measure around your head just above the eyebrows and use following table to equate your measurement to a specific size. This is an approximate chart though…manufacturers do not always use the same sizes for a given circumference…but this is a pretty general and accepted idea of how the sizing goes.

A helmet that fits and is adjusted properly should feel snug but not exactly tight. A proper fitting helmet should not move from side-to-side or front-to-back.
